SHARE AND TRANSFER MTN DATA BUNDLES WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES.

So many times, you have wished you could ask your friends or loved ones to Transfer some data bundle to you because we wish to check our mail, meet up on social media or just browse the internet. Now MTN has made that so easy with their New MTN Data Share Package

MTN has provided a means by which its users can now share or transfer data Plan amongst one another. Although they are not the first to do this, as Airtel has already started this way back.

You can now Subscribe to a Data Plan and Share with your Friends anywhere in Nigeria.


In this post, I will show you How This Can Be Done.

How Can I Share & Transfer MTN Data Plan Bundles?

1. Activate any Data Plan of your choice.

2. Dial *131*2*1# or text REG to 131; to register for MTN Data Share, you will receive a unique security PIN.

3. You are now adviced to change the system generated PIN or default pin to a new Pin you can easily remember by dialling *131*2*5# or by texting Change OLD PIN NEW PIN NEW PIN to 131.

E.g Change 0000 1234 to 131. Where 0000 is old PIN or default pin and 1234 is your new PIN.

4. After changing the PIN, you are required to add beneficiaries to your MTN shared Data Bundle account via USSD menu *131*2*3# or by texting 'Add' to 131.

Note: You can add only up to 5 beneficiaries.

5. Once you have added the list of beneficiaries, you will be able to share your available data bundle with the added beneficiaries by sending the keyword Share to 131 or simply dial USSD code *131*2*4#
