EFCC ARRESTS PRISONS ACCOUNTANT FOR MONEY LAUNDERING.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a popular Abuja socialite who is also a top official of the Nigerian Prisons Service, Dr (Mrs) Imaobong Akon Esu-Nte. 
The suspect, a Grade Level 14 Officer with the Federal Ministry of Finance seconded to the Nigerian Prison Service as Head, Capital Accounts, was picked up Tuesday May 6 by operatives of the anti graft agency. And for several hours, she was grilled by investigators over allegations bordering on corruption, abuse of office and money laundering.

NIGERIA POLICE OFFERS N50M REWARD FOR INFORMATION ON MISSING CHIBOK SCHOOL GIRLS.


The Nigerian Police just shared this announcement on their official website:
The Nigeria Police hereby announce a cash reward of Fifty Million Naira (N50,000,000.00)/$304,000 to anyone who volunteers credible information that will lead to the location and rescue of the female students abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State.

ABDUCTED GIRLS: BANKY W AND OTHER CELEBRITIES PROTESTS IN LAGOS.






Nigerian celebrities Monday morning staged a protest in Lagos demanding for the release of girls abducted in Chibok, Borno State, on April 14 by Boko Haram insurgents.
Banky W, Waje, Omoni Oboli, Yemi Alade, Sasha P, Tiwa Savage and other famous Nigerians participated in the peaceful march in support of the kidnapped victims and their families.
It would be recalled that more than 200 girls were abducted in the night raid carried out by terrorists 3 weeks ago. While some of them managed to escape, the majority are still missing.
In a fresh video Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau claimed responsibility for the abduction.

TRADER HIDES DRUGS IN BREAD, MELON, OTHERS.

A 38year old trader, Jude Izuchukwu, (pictured above) has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while trying to smuggle a 9.375 kilogramme of compressed cannabis out of the country, Punch reports.
 
The trader was arrested on Monday night while attempting to board an Ethiopian flight to China. the drug was found inside the suspect’s foodstuff.
